Thieves Guild Oblivion

Except for Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood, you can walk straight to a guild's headquarters to be a member. Joining Thieves Guild Oblivion is a different matter. You will have to face a challenge first before you'll become a Cert-O Thieves Guild Oblivion member.

The first thing you should do to get in Thieves Guild Oblivion is to memorize this name: Gray Fox. It's your ticket to the Guild.

To get in fast, go to the Garden of Dareloth at midnight and wait for Armand Christophe. Remember: midnight . You won't find him there at 11:30 or 11:59pm but exactly at midnight . Ask him about the Gray Fox; after which, he'll assign a trial test. It's a competition as to who is the best thief. Yes, you have to work your elbow against two other Thieves Guild Oblivion applicants. Your job is to steal Amantius Alectus's diary.

Before you begin your Thieves Guild Oblivion test, buy a lock pick from Armand. It is a very handy tool for stealing. Look for a beggar somewhere in the area where Amantius lives. If the beggar likes you, he will help you out and will help you again in the future.

Your greatest opponent for a seat in Thieves Guild Oblivion is a woman named Methredhel. Refrain from killing her or the other opponent. You are vying for a seat in Thief Guild Oblivion, not in a group of assassins. Besides, it might lead to another quest in the future that you might not like at all. Probability's high that you might lose to Methredrel, so if she happened to steal the diary ahead of you, steal it off from her when she gets home. You'll find where she lives through the same beggar who have helped you find Amantius's house.
