The
amazing thing about playing Oblivion, or any of the games in the
series, is that no matter how many times you play it, and if you’re
avid fan then it’s fair to say that’ll be plenty, you’ll never
become bored of it such is the extensive game play options added to
the program which can conjure a seemingly limitless array of scenarios
to mesmerize even the most prolific player.
The state of the art graphics and the ease of the game play shall be
bettered one day but probably not until the next part of “The Elder
Scrolls” adventure because despite the nihilistic overtones of its
name the success of Oblivion will almost certainly not ring the death
knell for “The Elder Scrolls” even if keen fans have to wait
another four years for Oblivion’s follow-up.
As befits a game that has been four years in planning, programming and
production, Oblivion takes the technology from its predecessors in the
series builds on them and raises the bar considerably to provide both
the avid and the more casual fantasy-gaming fan a truly memorable and
innovative experience in gaming.
If you’ve been spending the last four years waiting for the latest
installment of Bathsheba software’s’ “The Elder Scrolls”
series, then you’d have had March 22nd, 2006, long since
red-ringed as the day when your anticipation would be met and you
could finally get your hands on “Oblivion”. And though it would be
probably fair to say that if you had been waiting that long then the
mere presence of Oblivion on your Xbox or play station, you couldn’t
possibly be disappointed in the game, as there is enough within this
latest installment in the ever present series to excite an Elder
Scroll novice and to hook anyone to the on-going series.
