The
Elder Scrolls IV, Oblivion
Like all good sequels, in this case of the award winning and every
highly popular computer fantasy series The Elder Scrolls IV, Oblivion
takes all the good elements from its predecessors and adds further
advances in technology and new gaming thrills to create an utterly new
and compelling game which shall hook both the aficionado and novice
fully.
As with the first three in The Elder Scrolls series Oblivion IV gets
it’s addictiveness from the ease of playability combined with the
head scratching, occasionally bamboozling, puzzles and mysteries that
need to be solved to complete the game. You aren’t going to waste
your money on a game you can complete within minutes but neither are
you going to ever want to give up in total frustration.
Oblivion IV is a single player game widely available for Xbox 360 and
computer. Like all The Elder Scrolls games the action takes place in
Tameril’s capital Cyrodiil. If those two names mean nothing to you
then you have obviously waited until Oblivion IV to buy into the whole
underworld of The Elder Scrolls. But that doesn’t really matter
because once you start your journey through it you won’t want to go
back no matter how far along the path
you joined it.
Though like all good fantasy gaming titles there are many distractions
and diversions to keep the player enthralled Oblivion IV does give you
a main quest to follow and you can’t truly say you’ve cracked the
game until you have settled this puzzle.
Oblivion’s quest is to travel through the
province
of
Tameril
searching for the heir to the kingdom’s throne
who has gone into hiding.
Oblivion is the IVth part of a highly successful series and if the
early evidence of its popularity is anything to go by it shan’t be
the last.
