Oblivion
walk throughs have a posted a disclaimer aimed for players who wish to
join the Dark Brotherhood Oblivion. As its name implies, joining the
group will literally take you to the dark. Dark Brotherhood Oblivion
should only be undertaken by players with a strong gut and are willing
to murder people for, believe it or not, money.
Like the Thieves Guild, you have to work your way to get in to the
Dark Brotherhood Oblivion. Although some stealth skills are required,
you need not move as stealthily as a thief since most of the task that
you will do for Dark Brotherhood Oblivion is, well, slaughter people
(silently or loudly).
The Dark Brotherhood Oblivion is not just a group of merciless
assassins, although they really are such. They are actually a cult
that reveres the Dark Lord of Death, Sithis. Members of Dark
Brotherhood Oblivion love blood, death, gore, and guts.
If you are up to it, you will have some 'interesting'
conversation with your brothers'-in-crime. Well, they are just small
talk about stealthily murdering women and kids, how to disembowel a
man with a swift cut, and other stories in this fashion.
If you, however, have this hero
complex growing inside of you and you have decided to infiltrate the
Dark Brotherhood Oblivion so as to destroy them, forget it. The
brotherhood is in the brink of destruction and its member, to
extinction. Your main purpose of joining their sick brotherhood is to
preserve what's left and rebuild what has been destroyed.
So, if you cannot take the blood and guts in every quest assigned to
you by your Dark Master, better pass the opportunity off. There are
other exciting groups out there that won't require you to behead
someone mercilessly, like the Thieves and Mage Guild.
